In November 2015, the three leading companies in the digital education industry attended the International Learning Power Conference: ALO7, New Oriental Educational Group, and Cybernaut Investment Group. Nicholas Negroponte, known as the father and master of digital media, was invited to give a speech about future technological advances in education.

The theme of the conference was methodologies to enhance learning power by utilizing digital media technology. The agenda also included discussions focusing on contentious issues in the field of education and promoting active communication and cooperation in the educational industry.

At the conference, Mr. Negroponte stated that the power to learn is the greatest characteristic of the human mind. He added that the most important role of education is redesigning and relearning. Based on these premises of knowledge through education, every educator faces a common challenge: how to cultivate and foster students’ skills and abilities when we face an uncertain future.

Considering the accessibility of limitless information provided by the Internet, Mr. Negroponte and his fellow educators addressed several important questions regarding how to improve and enhance learning power in the future. These questions included: How can learning power be enhanced? What will the educational models of the future be? How can institutions combine the Internet and traditional educational platforms using the Blended Learning model? How will education evolve in the future? These questions represent crucial hurdles for educational institutions that wish to remain relevant and competitive in the future.

Several other leading educational experts and scholars in attendance attempted to address and discuss these challenging issues. Mr. Negroponte, Professor Zhong (president of the Chinese Education Association), Mr. Yu (founder of New Oriental Education), Professor Ren (vice president of East China Normal University), and Dr. Pengkai Pan (CEO of ALO7, an industry leader in the field of online English education), offered their respective viewpoints and considered new models of international learning power production and how to apply these models within the evolving educational industry.
